Dr. Andrew Kohler graduated from the University of Alberta Medical School 30 years ago and is the founder and owner of CCMC. He is actively involved raising money for Edmonton based health and education initiatives and also works part time teaching medical students as a Clinical Professor of Medicine from the University of Alberta School of Medicine and Dentistry. His special interests include: Men’s health, 0ffice based surgery, depression, and other mental health disorders.
Dr. Maria Pariy MD, CCFP, completed her post secondary education at the University of Alberta. She is a Board Member on the Edmonton West Primary Care Network. Dr. Maria Pariy offers comprehensive patient centered care and has a particular interest in preventative medicine.
Dr. Jeff Reichenauer received his medical degree from the University of Calgary and completed his family medicine residency training at the University of Alberta. He was a member of 15 Field Ambulance of the Canadian Forces Reserves from 2005-2015 and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012 in recognition of his service. He has practiced in West Edmonton since 2014 and is excited to join the team at Callingwood Crossing Medical Clinic. He enjoys providing comprehensive care for his patients in all facets of family medicine.
Dr. Kenneth Romano brings a distinguished and diverse career to his practice. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and then came to Edmonton and did a rotating surgical residency and then a family practice residency and certification. He has also specialized in palliative care and sports medicine. He has been with Callingwood Crossing Medical Clinic for 19 years.
Dr. Bernadette McEvoy graduated from the University of Dublin, specializing in family and internal medicine. She speaks medical Arabic and has worked in Ireland and New Zealand, before coming to settle in Edmonton. She brings 16 years of experience to our team and has a special focus on women’s health, diabetes, pediatrics and minor surgeries.
Dr. Maxine Hetherington graduated from the University of Alberta specializing in Family Medicine. She spent 20 years practicing in Urban-Rural settings doing emergency, Acute Care and Family Medicine. Her interests include heart disease, asthma, diabetes, COPD, internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health. Her practice emphasizes healthy life style and prevention.

Other Health Professionals
Our Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator, who specializes in chronic disease management. Her primary role at Callingwood Crossing Medical Clinic includes assisting patients in learning about and managing chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, and weight management. As a Certified Diabetes Educator, Larissa is able to educate patients about their medications, insulin use, screening tests, and certain blood tests, as appropriate. Larissa is also certified to complete pap tests, and assists our physicians in prenatal care, patient health system navigation, dressing changes, therapeutic injections, foot care, geriatric care, and complex care management.
Oscar Lagenio is a Licensed Practical Nurse who graduated from Norquest College in 2006. He then pursued his graduate certificate as a diabetes educator from the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences in 2013 and became certified in 2015. In 2013 he graduated from Macewan University with a post diploma certificate in wound management. He is also trained as an advanced foot care nurse and as a spirometry technician. We are fortunate to have him as part of our care team and he brings his unique training and sense of humor to all he does with us.
Madison Malay is a Licensed Practical Nurse who graduated from Norquest College back in 2013. Since graduating, she has worked a local hospital here in Edmonton and has also cared for patients in a home care setting. She has just joined Callingwood Crossing this year, and enjoys working collaboratively with physicians and staff to deliver the best quality care to the patients and community. She looks forward to future growth as a nurse and is excited for the challenges and opportunities that nursing has in store for her.
